When I started preparing the bulk of my meals at home, I realized that I could have scrambled eggs and toast or a peanut butter sandwich for breakfast instead of donuts or cold cereals loaded with sugar. Fifth, if I have to eat something then I go ahead and eat enough to get me to dinner. Fortunately, because the early stages of my diet were largely trial and error I got a chance to experience the quick way and the slow way. and for sure i ll loose some weight in this week also. However. I used to go to class at 8am, with back to back classes, I did not any time for lunch. I think you have given us something excellent. This is especially true of sugar and carbs. Snacking at other times in the day is fine, but of course the trick is not to continue eating. before 1:00 pm when it gets too hot. Midmorning(around 11:00) I eat fruit with low fat plain yogurt. With 4 low fat crackers I had the half of the pan. U lose the max in this week because you lose all the water weight and the bloating is gone. I could order what I would normally order and get up the next morning and do the same thing. It makes sense that I need fewer calories to maintain 175 lbs than 205 lbs. I knew I was in it for the long haul so it was motivation for me to be strict throughout the week. If I like to plan things, then I make detailed plans of what I will eat and when. so that i know where i have faltered but when on diet i dont usually write it down. I know I do have a lot of body fat around my middle, but I thought with eating once a day, cutting down on carbs and killing myself at the gym would show good results. Anyways on the one meal a day diet: I used to do that in High School along with running every day and dropped from 203 lbs to about 158 to get in shape for AROTC (although I was really skinny runner type, and after a couple months of PT was up to about 170 from putting on muscle). Do you cut out carbs or just eat a regular meat and 2 veg. I pretty much eat anything and everything that takes my fancy. Unless you want to exercise A LOT, you have to decrease the amount of food you eat. I am now on a journey which i hope will be a positive and life encompassing one. I have tried so many things and I had honestly forgotten the one meal a day diet. Even the gym instructors would tell you so. In that way the body never goes into starvation mode as it never knows from one day to the next how many calories its going to get. Its great not to have to think about food all the time, which is what I always did, I was always hungry. I caught this on your blog and it made me laugh. This resulted in me making a slight gain in weight. I started the 1 meal a day a couple weeks ago (with a snack too) and have lost 6 pounds. But instead of stuffing myself with any food that I can put my hands on, this time I decided to stuff myself healthily. Regarding the second issue, I will be the first to admit that I am mentally addicted to the idea of lunch. The slow process teaches you something about yourself and helps you to change the eating habits that got you overweight in the first place. Before starting the diet weigh yourself and write it down somewhere. I had to have another small snack and cup of tea in the mid afternoon because my stomach was growling so loudly. But when you step onto the weighing machine and notice the pounds melting that is some other worldly bliss. I saw you drank tea alot during the day but i am not a
